CHARLOTTE, N.C. — October 23, 2024 — Stay Plugged In, the leader in connecting students to educational and career opportunities through gaming, announced today a new partnership with F1 in Schools North America, the premier educational program that introduces students to the world of Formula 1® racing through STEM education. This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between gaming and traditional STEM learning by providing students with engaging, hands-on experiences and access to future career paths.

“For the past three years, Stay Plugged In has been at the forefront of creating pathways for students to earn college scholarships through gaming,” said Scott Hollingsworth, Chief Operating & Revenue Officer of Stay Plugged In. “We’re thrilled to partner with F1 in Schools North America to expand these opportunities further. By combining our expertise, we can provide students with more hands-on, real-world experiences that will set them up for success, both academically and in their future careers.”

F1 in Schools North America challenges students aged 9 to 19 to design, build, and race miniature Formula 1® cars using advanced engineering software and cutting-edge manufacturing technology. Beyond engineering, students learn essential skills like project management, marketing, and sponsorship acquisition – preparing them for success in today’s global workforce. This new partnership with Stay Plugged In will not only amplify these opportunities but also integrate gaming-based learning with STEM education, creating a unique blend that fosters innovation and career readiness.

“Together, we’re empowering the next generation of engineers and innovators,” said Brian Kendzior, Executive Director & Co-Founder of F1 in Schools North America. “This partnership brings the excitement of F1 racing into the classroom, enhancing student learning and setting a strong foundation for future success. With Stay Plugged In’s proven track record in facilitating college and CTE career opportunities, this collaboration is poised to be a game-changer.”

This exclusive partnership between Stay Plugged In and F1 in Schools North America will see the two organizations jointly develop programming such as after-school initiatives and summer camps. Additionally, Stay Plugged In will adapt  F1 in Schools’ renowned STEM projects into digestible segments that students can explore through various formats. The F1 programming will officially begin in Fall 2025, providing students with immersive, hands-on learning experiences that open doors to scholarships, internships, and career opportunities in both STEM and the gaming industry.
